Furrer+Frey, the overhead contact line makersThe companyEmil Furrer and Arnold Frey founded the electrical company of Furrer+Frey in the year 1923, round the time Switzerland's railways were being electrified. We have been making overhead contact line systems ever since and have grown apace to meet ever increasing challenges. To date, ours has been a substantial contribution to the development of electrification. Modern track systems are not enough on their own to cope with ever greater tractive power and more frequently scheduled trains, major demands are imposed on the loading capacity and service life of contact line systems too. Our success is assured by our contract managers' and assembly teams' great experience, continuous training in our own field of activity and a welcoming approach to new materials or processes. A success which benefits our customers and therefore the general public as well. Furrer+Frey is still a family firm, now in its third generation, a firm faithfully committed to the fundamental principles of good service, reliability and quality.
