Global Thinkers

Since 1988, Furrer+Frey have also been active abroad, limiting ourselves there to the solution of specialised problems in individual countries. We are not "global players", but "global thinkers".

This estimation of our own abilities makes us a reliable partner for customers abroad or for business connections outside Switzerland who are also involved in the planning or construction of contact line systems.

To date, we have worked with success in Europe and overseas. In many places, we are assisted by local agencies.

We have enjoyed particular success in planning and supplying our conductor rails abroad (as alternative to the conventional contact line) and supervising the assembly work done by local firms.

Moreover, we also supply components and consulting services.

Increasing interest is being shown in our well-proven FL 200 and FL 260 contact line system, which has been installed on the lines of eight Railway Companies in Switzerland, and on the basis of which the GEFF-OLE-System for the Great Eastern Line in UK has been developed.

Our employees

Our export team leads quite an independent life within our company. There is good reason for this alone in the need to meet the most varied of customer wishes, provide compatibility with existing systems and work together with established assembly firms or suppliers abroad. The Export Team is where you will find your contact, co-ordinator, problem solver and partner for duties abroad. Whenever necessary, the Team can refer back to the parent organisation, namely the contact line maker or contact line planner.
