Furrer+Frey, the contact line designersOur engineering consultancyComplex, interconnected construction works place ever increasing demands on the planning of work and the management of building projects, the same going for contact line systems, too. Furrer+Frey can see the signs of the times and for more than twenty years now, has been running an engineering consultancy for contact line planning, acting on one hand as services operation for the company and on the other, producing contact line projects for others in a trust capacity, then tendering and subsequently managing the construction work. Our engineering team works with all the usual planning aids, such as Microstation, AutoCAD, our own development of a contact line configuration software, falp 2.0 (© Furrer+Frey) and the 3D planning tool ELFF (© ELBAS/Furrer+Frey). Since 1999 we are in charge of keeping the SBB tool FACDA up to date. Our engineers' great experience, continuous training in our own field of activity, our knowledge of work done abroad, involvement in professional and standard-defining bodies and our welcoming approach to new components and contact line systems all help us on our way to success, a success which benefits our customers and therefore the general public as well. Our employeesSeveral engineers and technicians, our design office, specialists in statics and electrical engineering and a small development team are kept busy all the time meeting our customers' needs. As the occasion arises, we call in specialists whose knowledge we may use in the process of optimum planning, efficient surveying in the field or best-possible designing of electrical contacts. Finite element theory, stereophotogrammetry, CAD-aided contact line planning, materials analysis, simulations and trial operations are familiar words in our vocabulary. Our servicesWe accompany our projects all the way through from the advance project and cost-estimate stage to completed system and its eventual commissioning. Also as part of our service, we can develop material, plan capacity, control costs and produce manuals for your contact line system. Meeting your needs is our challenge. | |
