The Wengernalp Railway is the longest continuous cogwheel railway in the Jungfrau region, connecting Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald with the Kleine Scheidegg pass. In November, we successfully modernised the second switch sectioning point at the Witimatte passing loop. The operators of the Wengernalp Railway are planning to fit all switch sectioning points with new Sicat switches and new manual railway switches and replace the outdated infeed busbars by 2025. We were able to replace the first switch sectioning point at Lauterbrunnen station in 2020. The third switch sectioning point at the Rohrfluh passing loop is scheduled for modernisation in 2022.
