Over the past 100 years, Furrer+Frey has become a global leader in overhead contact line construction and also specialises in charging stations for e-buses and battery trains. Today, 340 employees at our five Swiss locations and five foreign subsidiaries are busy working on projects and innovative mobility solutions for customers in over 30 countries.

Our experience and expertise have enabled us to bring several groundbreaking innovations to the market – we made history in 1984 when we developed our own conductor rail, and even managed to set a world record in 2014. On top of this, the FL 200 and FL 200T overhead contact line systems with tubular cantilevers, also developed in-house, have been in use as standard on private railways in Switzerland since 2003. Projects such as the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel, the Ceneri Base Tunnel, the 4-metre corridor, the Bern West tram and the Limmattal light rail, as well as major projects by Transports Publics Fribourgeois (TPF) and Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn (RBS), provide ample illustration of the expertise and innovation of our family-owned company.

Together with our employees, customers and partners, we want to help shape the mobility models of the future and keep on setting new standards.
