At the BERNMOBIL Eigerplatz tram depot, we have installed an automatic switch-off and earthing system incorporating various control, monitoring, signalling, and display components for the overhead contact line system. The main components include a central control cabinet with F-CPU, 600 VDC switchgear and operating points with integrated badge and key transfer system, as well as current and voltage monitoring.
Overhead contact line signalling comes directly from the contact wire and enables rapid shutdown. Interfaces to various peripheral systems such as crane system, roof working platform, jack system, and train preheating system were also integrated. The switchgear is also connected to the depot control and management system, as well as the sprinkler and fire alarm system.
