April 2024 Retractable ROCS at the new Taff’s Well depot in South Wales The success story of our retractable rigid overhead conductor rail systems (ROCS) continues – this time with a project in the UK, where we have commissioned another state-of-the-art system on test tracks at the new Taff’s Well depot in South Wales. January 2024 Engineering work Giswil–Lungern The single-track line between Giswil and Lungern, operated by Zentralbahn, and the protective measures against natural hazards along this line are in urgent need of renewal. For this purpose, the line was closed completely for ten weeks during autumn 2023. Read more

25. October 2023 Heitersberg Tunnel: ROCS in record time Over the course of just eight weekends, with the line closed for 54 hours from Saturday to Monday morning each time, the old overhead contact line system in the SBB Heitersberg Tunnel was dismantled and a new rigid overhead conductor rail system (ROCS) installed. 23. August 2023 4-metre corridor via Ceneri complete The 4-metre north-south corridor was completed in September 2020 with the addition of the Ceneri base tunnel. The next milestone was reached at the beginning of June 2023, with all tunnels on the line via Monte Ceneri now adapted to accommodate semi-trailers with a fourmetre corner height. Between 2016 and 2023, we equipped 22 tunnels and short lines from Basel to Chiasso with rigid overhead conductor rails for 4-metre corner heights. Read more
