Structural engineering & simulation

Components and overhead contact line systems must meet both legal requirements and standards with regard to structural safety and suitability for use. Our structural engineering specialists use state-of-the-art finite element programmes to perform precise structural analyses. This forms the basis for the reliable and safe design of our systems.

Our specialists carry out dynamic simulations to analyse the contact between the contact wire and the pantograph for the desired catenary configurations. These precise calculations enable optimised design and guarantee the high performance and reliability of our systems.

Tests

We test our systems and components before we use them in regular operation, as well as monitoring them continuously during operation. Our clients only receive tested systems with high reliability and low life cycle costs.

When it comes to overhead line engineering, we not only design new systems but also adapt systems already in operation. Our planners are experienced and highly skilled, from preliminary studies to all SIA project phases to a complete project ready for execution.

We are thoroughly familiar with all Swiss railway standards and technical requirements.

Project management

We take on the management of small and large projects, from the preliminary project to realisation and commissioning.

In the execution phase of our projects, we focus on customer requirements, precision, and efficiency. We offer flexible solutions and handle both complete projects and specific sub-projects, using either our own planning principles or those specified by our customers.

Execution encompasses project and construction management, organisation of field engineers, procurement of materials, provision of installation aids, and coordination with third-party companies to ensure a smooth construction process.

Our experienced project and site managers take care of all aspects in advance, from personnel planning and the provision of materials to the scheduling of machinery and large vehicles.
